Apple App Store Wall

Apple had a (semi) real-time installation running at his year’s WWDC, depicting the top 20,000 apps, which each apps’ icon flashing when a sale is made. According to Apple, 3000 iphone apps are downloaded every minute.

The interesting thing for me is that the installation is running Apple’s Quartz Composer – an application I have been dabbling in lately, and predict will play an increasing role in both web and installation art in the near future.

More info on the setup at Apple Insider.
